Suitable for Social Workers, Housing Workers, Personal Assistants, Mentors and all  those working with people who they may be supporitng who are applying for PIP. Our trainer,  James Hennefeld is a Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional working for the
Bristol Autism Spectrum Service and Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

This is a one off workshop. There is a limit of 20 places.

Context of the benefit, replaces Disability Living Allowance, how the benefits differ
• The purpose of PIP
• How to apply for PIP.
• Resources for completing the PIP application
• About the PIP Payment, sums, non means tested
• The daily living and mobility component activities: we will go through each of the activities and focus on:
o The definition of each activity
o How each activity is being scored
o Type of useful evidence
o Some of the High Court cases that defined the scoring criteria
• Completing the PIP Self Assessment
• About the PIP Interview
• The use of informants and supports
• Appeals: mandatory reconsideration and Tribunals.
